First AFL Saturday TV ratings of 2021 push Seven further ahead

The early evening news bulletins on Seven, Nine and ABC were three of the four most-watched programs in Saturday TV ratings.

There might have been AFL football on Seven for the first time this year, however ABC’s Death in Paradise had the biggest non-news audience with 599,000, ahead of the average audience watching the football on Seven.

Just two other programs made it over 400,000 in Saturday TV ratings – A Current Affair on 445,000 and Call the Midwife on 443,000.

Seven’s Weekend Sunrise managed to make the Saturday top 10 with 235,000.

Fox Footy’s coverage of the Adelaide v Geelong clash late on Saturday afternoon found its way into the metro top 20 with 192,000.
