Aussies at the Open drive Nine’s winning TV ratings: Barty in, de Minaur out
Nine’s coverage of the Australian Open tennis was a clear favourite Saturday night and dominated the TV ratings. It was a mixed night for Australians at the open: Ash Barty won through to the next round, but Alex de Minaur lost in straight sets in his third round match.
The battle for TV ratings dominance saw the tennis face off against British dramas Death in Paradise and Call the Midwife on the ABC and the Chris Hemsworth movie Thor on Seven.
10’s primary channel share dipped below 5% which is close to a record low as the channel premiered its Three Blue Ducks food program to just 137,000.
