TV Ratings October 8, 2022: Seven shifts into gear for Bathurst 1000

Border Security – Australia’s Front Line on Seven was the most-watched program on total TV, reaching 643,000 people and rising by 4%.

A repeat of Death in Paradise came in the next, reaching 573,000 people and increasing by 8%.

Marriage on ABC experienced the biggest increase on total TV with 50% to reach a total audience of 361,000.

Nine has experienced a Saturday win with a network share of 29.2% and a primary channel share of 19.3%, while 7mate took out the multichannel win with 3.7%. 

Nine’s A Current Affair topped the night with 447,000 views as former prime minister, John Howard reflected on the events of the 2002 Bali bombings, 20 years on. Getaway clocked 266,000 views, while the 1984 film Wonder Woman reached an audience of 271,000.

Seven’s Border Security – Australia’s Front Line was the top entertainment program of the night, bringing in 412,000 views. On the program, a nervous man brought a bag of tea and coffee which turned out to be much more than a beverage. Earlier in the day, Seven’s coverage of the Supercars Championships: Bathurst 1000 clocked 289,000 views, followed by the Top 10 Shootout with 270,000 views.

On ABC, a repeat of Death in Paradise was the network’s most-watched program, clocking 363,000 views. In the episode, A shadow is cast over a small fishing community in the village of Belle Mer when their festival queen, ‘Mama D’Mer’ Tiana, is murdered. Later in the night, Capture reached 260,000 people

On 10, 10 News First reached 211,000 people, followed by a repeat of The Dog House pulling in 180,000 views.

Secrets of the Royal Palaces on SBS reached 145,000 views.

STV

Fox Sports 503 has taken out the top three spots on subscription TV. The dedicated motorsports channel aired all the coverage from the Bathurst 1000, with the Supercars Live reaching 156,000. The Dunlop Series clocked 133,000, followed by practice 6 with 121,000 views.
