Topping the night overall was The Block, up 33% and bringing 1,423,000 along as Omar and Oz admitted that they had estimated their tennis court to be about $20,000, but the cost looked more like $70,000.
Home and Away began primetime for 899,000 on Seven, lifting 22%. Kitchen Nightmares turned around Sunshine Coast restaurant Guru Life, lifting 32% for a total TV audience of 750,000.
Hard Quiz saw the Big Brass Mug lifted in front of 880,000, up 13%. Summer Love finished its season with 474,000 tuning in, up 22%.
On 10, a repeat of The Dog House lifted 6%, bringing in 345,000 viewers.

Nine has won the night with a 22.8% primary share and a network share of 29.6%. Coming out on top for multichannels was 7Two with a 4.6% share.
Nine’s A Current Affair covered a fence dispute that had ended with cut fingers, and spoke to the owner of a pizza restaurant that was dealing with a dine and dash for 602,000 viewers. There were more design dramas on The Block, when Tom and Sarah-Jane noticed that their wrap around verandah didn’t have any stairs. 763,000 tuned in as the pair found a way to make sure their verandah was accessible after all. The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee followed with 252,000 viewers.
On Seven, Home and Away kicked the night off for 429,000. Kitchen Nightmares took a trip to Wangaratta to visit Cafe Martini, where Colin Fassnidge was served frozen oysters, overcooked chicken risotto, and an undercooked pizza. 371,000 tuned in as the Cafe was turned around and given a new name – The Bull’s Head Hotel. Extreme Weddings: Australian rounded out primetime for 147,000.
On the ABC, 7.30 analysed the new budget and interviewed WA Premier Mark McGowan for 465,000. Hard Quiz gave away the Big Brass Mug in front of 515,000, before Question Everything covered the sports sponsor saga for 464,000. A new season of Kitty Flanagan’s Fisk then took to the screen, with 543,000 viewers for the launch.
10’s The Project (187,000 6:30 / 272,000 7pm) interviewed Treasurer Jim Chalmers about his first budget, and announced the pregnancy of panellist Rachel Corbett. A repeat of The Dog House Australia got 226,000 tails wagging, before The Real Love Boat set sail with 142,000 passengers.
The highest rating non-news show on SBS was a repeat of Secret Scotland with 127,000 viewers.
