Total TV Ratings, October 15
Death in Paradise on ABC was the most-watched entertainment program on total TV, reaching 630,000 people and rising by 9%.
Border Security – Australia’s Front Line came in next, reaching 591,000 people and increasing by 4%.
The Capture on ABC experienced the biggest increase on total TV with 44% reaching a total audience of 468,000.
Overnight TV Ratings, October 22
Nine has enjoyed a network share win with 32.8% followed by Seven with 30.9%, while Seven won the primary channel share with 22.0%. On the multichannels, 9Gem won the night with a 5.3% share.
Nine’s coverage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup between Australia and New Zealand clocked 441,000 views, claiming the top non-news spot. Australia was defeated by New Zealand in the opener as the Black Caps won by 89 runs as the coverage topped all the key demos. Additionally, the post-match coverage brought in 336,000 views. Earlier in the evening, Getaway had a viewership of 227,000.
Seven’s Border Security – Australia’s Front Line was the top entertainment program of the night, bringing in 339,000 views as Border Force executed a warrant in search of a Sri Lankan man suspected of entering illegally. Later in the night the 2017 film The Greatest Showman clocked 233,000 views.
On ABC, a repeat of Death in Paradise was the network’s most-watched program, clocking 262,000 views. In the episode, Saint Marie mourns when radio legend Dezzie Dixon is murdered live on air, and Jack must unravel a complex mystery to find the culprit. Later in the night, The Capture reached 209,000 people
On 10, 10 News First reached 186,000 people, while Greatest Train Journeys from Above on SBS reached 155,000 views.
STV
Fox Cricket dominated the subscription TV charts with its T20 coverage. The Innings Break topped the day, bringing in 245,000 views, followed by its Australia v New Zealand coverage with 240,000.
The Post Game coverage reached 181,000 views.
