Total TV Ratings, October 13
Home and Away has topped non-news in total TV, lifting 22% for a total audience of 924,000.
Gogglebox wasn’t far behind, with 900,000 spending the night on the couch. The episode was up 21%.
On Nine, RBT lifted 6%, bringing 610,000 along for the ride.
On SBS, The Handmaid’s Tale lifted a whopping 419%, taking 524,000 to Gilead.

Nine has won the night in primary share with 21.1%. When it comes to network share, however, Seven and Nine have tied with a share of 28.5%. 7Two has topped multichannels with a 5.3% share.
On Nine, A Current Affair covered the flooding town building its own levee using farming equipment, and marked 1000 days since Covid came to Australia for 548,000 viewers. RBT then followed with 405,000 tuning in.
A Triple header of Home and Away had 448,000 tune in for the first episode, while the second two averaged 403,000. In preparation for the Kath & Kim special coming up, Seven then aired back to back episodes of the original – with 236,000 tuning in to the first episode.
The Project (176,000 6:30pm / 285,000 7pm) covered the cyberattack on Medibank, and interviewed The Backstreet Boys. Gogglebox then settled in on the couch alongside 458,000 others – the highest entertainment show of the night – before The Real Love Boat took set sail with 149,000 passengers.
On the ABC, 7.30 covered the controversy surrounding Hancock Prospecting’s sponsorship deal with Netball Australia and interviewed AMA President Steve Robson for 444,000. Foreign Correspondent reported from the Arctic, covering Indigenous parliaments in Norway and Sweden for 325,000. Q+A was live from Melbourne, with 221,000 tuning in.
The highest non-news show on SBS was World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys 99,000.
