Nine’s A Current Affair (522,000) put the spotlight on how almost 1000 students from across Melbourne brought the CBD to a standstill, downing their textbooks to participate in the School Strike for Palestine on Thursday, November 23.

Then, it was a night with the emergency services as 414,000 watched RBT which topped prime-time entertainment followed by Emergency. 337,000 watched as doctors Jonathan Papson and Emmanuel Karpathakis feared for a cyclist with glass sticking out of his neck.

A repeat of Big Miracles followed for 162,000

405,000 began their evening in Summer Bay with Seven’s Home and Away as Felicity’s apology tour hit the Bay and Kirby’s lyrics gave Justin comfort while Mackenzie suffered another heart attack.

278,000 and 268,000 then stayed on for two repeat episodes of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line. During one of the instalments, officers found something suspicious on a Bulgarian visitor’s phone that meant an abrupt end to his holiday and two fruit pickers from Tonga failed to declare prohibited items.

281,000 also watched The Front Bar – A Year in Review as Sam Pang, Mick Molloy and Andy Maher looked back on the year that was.

386,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 explore how social media is feeding a steady stream of content to young people about the Israel-Gaza conflict plus the program looked at how a coronial inquest into the deaths of two teenage girls will resume in Bourke next week. 

392,000 then watched Bill Bailey’s Wild West Australia. This week, Bill Bailey headed to the Ningaloo Coast to see the epic scale of the outback and experience its laid-back red dirt lifestyle.

A repeat of Grand Designs followed for 276,000 as master carpenter Olaf faced the biggest challenge of his career: creating an oasis for himself and his partner Fritha on a tiny slice of land in Sussex near a mainline railway and a major road.

On 10, The Project’s (138,000 6:30pm / 202,000) 7pm Georgie Tunny spoke to Brie Larson from AppleTV+’ Lessons In Chemistry. The program also looked at how firefighters in Perth say they are facing “challenging conditions” and “unforgiving weather” as blazes continue to ravage the Northern Suburbs.

The second instalment of Mirror Mirror: Are You Well then followed as host Todd Sampson explored how the wellness industry capitalises on our growing anger, the rise of psychedelics and mental health, our loss of connection and the endless desire to optimise our lives. 167,000 tuned in.

96,000 saw The Secret World Of… on SBS. This week it was a look at burgers and host Jo Brand looked at the story of Britain’s love for the yummy food and how the burger business has come to be worth billions.

58,000 also watched Adam & Poh’s Great Australian Bites as Adam Liaw and Poh Ling Yeow headed to one of Australia’s great food bowls in the Gippsland region of Victoria.

915,000 watched Nine’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 second Semi-Final Session One, up 8% and 758,000 Session One Rain Delay, up 7%. 

877,000 viewed Seven’s Home and Away as Felicity fumed over Tane, up 27%.

597,000 saw ABC’s Bill Bailey’s Wild West Australia, up 27%.
