Seven’s airing of Border Security – Australia’s Front Line topped entertainment total TV for the network with 405,000 viewers, growing by 2%.
The biggest jump in commercial primetime viewing goes to ABC’s Ragdoll, where the Total TV audience grew by 38% to reach 260,000 viewers.
Overnight TV Ratings, May 20
Seven enjoyed a Saturday night win in both the network and primary channel shares with 28.2% and 39.4%, respectively. 7mate and GO! tied for the multichannels with 4.1% each.
Seven’s Saturday Night AFL saw Essendon take a 1-point victory over the Tigers as 466,000 tuned in to watch the match. In entertainment, Border Security: Australia’s Front Line reached 380,000 as the Border Force investigate two brothers from Thailand claiming they are just tourists, but discover something that makes their story likely to be a lie.
Nine’s A Current Affair came out on top, reaching 394,000 as the program met a group of Aussie seniors in their 90s who have formed a bucket list club. Earlier in the night, Getaway had 316,000 as the team experienced Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay.
On the ABC, Sister Boniface Mysteries saw Sister Boniface investigate a sabotage. The show had 278,000 cracking the top 10 for Saturday. Bluey was viewed by 184,000 as Bluey asks her dad to help her draw a dragon for her story.
10 aired The Dog House Australia, with the episode having 137,000 as the program met timid puppy Harry as he seeked a new home. The network also aired Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom to 122,000 viewers.
SBS aired World’s Most Scenic River Journeys to 89,000.

On Fox League, the Storm beat the Dolphins 24-16 in front of 320,000, while the West Tigers clawed the Cowboys 66-18 in front of 288,000.
Fox Footy’s top game was Essendon V Richmond, which saw the Bombers win by 1 point in front of 209,000. Freemantle V Geelong clocked 201,000.
