TV Ratings May 13, 2022: The Chase and AFL give Seven a weekend win

The Chase on Seven claimed the top spot for the most-watched non-news program on total TV reaching a total audience of 802,000, increasing by 2%.

ABC’s Gardening Australia took out the second spot with 628,000 total viewers and had the highest lift of the night with 19%.

Nine’s Friday Night NRL reached 563,000 people, rising 10%.

Overnight TV Ratings, May 14

Seven has come out on top with a network share of 34.1% and a primary share of 24.4%. Nine had a network share of 27% and a primary share of 17.9%.

Seven’s AFL: Friday Night Football continues to give the network another weekend win, pulling in 510,000 viewers. The Western Bulldogs’ took a convincing 48-point victory over Collingwood at Docklands Stadium, winning 14.15(99) to 7.9(51) as more than half of the viewers watched on from Melbourne.\

Seven’s The Chase was the most-watched program of the night, bringing in 553,000 viewers

On Nine, Hot Seat reached 413,000 people while A Current Affair totalled 495,000.

Nine’s Friday Night NRL coverage reached an audience of 322,000 with 161,000 of those coming from Sydney as the Broncos dominated the Sea Eagles 38-0.

ABC’s top entertainment program was Gardening Australia bringing in an audience of 343,000.

On 10, The Project had an audience of 282,000, while The Living Room reached 250,000 people.

The top non-news program on SBS was a repeat of the 2022 Eurovision semi-final with 200,000 viewers.

Fox League took out the top three spots on subscription TV with Sea Eagles v Broncos pulling 283,000 views, NRL Friday Night Footy with 246,000 views and Bulldogs v Knights (6-16) bringing in an audience of 235,000.

Fox Footy aired the Collingwood v Western Bulldogs game which reached 227,000 people, while Friday Footy on Fox had an audience of 98,000 people.
