ABC’s Endeavour topped total TV, delivering an audience of 830,000, lifting 42% as a series of death notices in the Oxford Mail, each with a distinctive, cryptic message, providing clues to Endeavour’s latest – and final – investigation.

Seven’s Friday night AFL rose 1% for 737,000, while Nine’s Friday night NRL increased by 12% for 574,000.

Seven has dominated the Friday night shares, thanks to its AFL coverage. Seven had a primary channel share of 27.3% and a network share of 36.4%, while 7TWO won the multichannel win with 3.4%.

In its second week, Seven’s AFL continues to dominate, with 448,000 tuning in to watch the Brisbane Lions defeat Melbourne Demons by 11 points after a power outage plunged the Gabba into darkness and stopped play for almost 40 minutes. The post-match coverage clocked 404,000, while the pre-match had 281,000.

Nine’s Friday night NRL had 428,000 tune in to watch Storm defeat West Tigers 24-12. Later in the night, the Broncos claimed victory against the Dolphins 18-12, while the pre-match coverage pulled in 237,000. A Current Affair reached 365,000 as the program looked at whether ‘sharenting’, the trend of parents using their kids to create content online, should be illegal in Australia.

On the ABC, Gardening Australia topped entertainment with 335,000 as Costa visited a cultural food garden and Jane viewed some botanical art. Van Der Valk had 269,000 as two new sergeants were welcomed to the team.

On 10, 194,000 tuned into 10 News First, while 141,000 watched the 7pm Project as the team were joined by Chris Pine and Sam Neill

The highest-rated non-news show on SBS was Wrecks That Changed The World, with 93,000.

Fox League’s NRL coverage has dominated subscription TV, with Dolphins v Broncos bringing in 382,000, followed by Storm v West Tigers with 257,000. On Fox Footy, Brisbane v Melbourne pulled in 237,000 and Friday Night on Fox had 206,000.
