Nine has continued to rack up wins this week after posting another #1 share in both primary channel (26.9%) and network (35.0%) last night. This was once again thanks in large part to Married at First Sight (MAFS) which was the #1 entertainment program for the night, an honour it has held every night it has aired this year. The episode had 967,000 viewers which was up on last week’s 908,000 and was also #1 in all key demos.
The episode saw the fourth dinner party of the season with most of the attention focusing on the crumbling marriage of Carolina and Dion, with it causing tension amongst the other couples.
This was followed by Under Investigation with Liz Hayes which had 453,000 viewers, up on last week’s 410,000 viewers. The episode focused on reinvestigating the case of Melbourne’s ‘Mr Cruel’ that involved a series of child abductions and murder during the late-1980s.
On Seven, Home and Away was the top non-news program of the night with 552,000 viewers. It was followed by the broadcaster’s new factual TV program Police Strike Force, which had 311,000 viewers for its premiere episode. The Front Bar then had 346,000 viewers as the show continued its special three-week series where they dive deeper into the world of sports. Mel McLaughlin filled in on the show for Andy Maher.
