Total TV Ratings, June 19

The Ashes inched closer to the end of the first text on Nine, with 1,043,000 tuning in, up 19%. Parental Guidance was up 29% for a total audience of 733,000.

On 10, Have You Been Paying Attention? was up 34%, with 888,000 tuning in. MasterChef Australia contestants had 75 minutes to create a dish that surprised the judges, with no restrictions on ingredients, up 24% for a total audience of 837,000.

Seven’s Million Dollar Island saw two camps go to war in an epic head-to-head arena battle, lifting 24% for a total audience of 509,000.

Nine has won Monday night with a primary share of 18.9% and a network share of 28.6%. In multichannels, 9Gem came out on top with a 4.1% share, as Aussies tuned in to the Women’s Ashes.

 

On Nine, A Current Affair went behind the police operation busting young crooks breaking into family homes, and spoke to the widow of stabbed paramedic Steven Tougher for 676,000. The second instalment of the miniseries on Shane Warne’s life, Warnie, drew 434,000 – down on Sunday night’s part one which recorded 528,000. Police Rescue Australia wrapped up primetime with 226,000 tuning in.

On Seven, 472,000 began their evening in Summer Bay on Home and Away. Million Dollar Island followed for 257,000 viewers, with the castaways tackling more puzzles and physical challenges in their quest for cash.

ABC’s 7.30 explained all the details of The Wagner group rebellion in Russia, before giving a tribute to former Labor leader Simon Crean for 565,000. Australian Story told 430,000 about Megan Davis, the woman who wants to change the constitution and give a Voice to her people. On Four Corners, 485,000 watched as Paul Farrell investigated the Plutus Payroll scheme, before Media Watch drew a crowd of 491,000. 

On 10, the Wagner mercenary group was also covered by The Project (186,000 6:30pm / 321,000 7pm), before the show asked the founder and CEO of tixel, Zac Leigh, how the Taylor Swift hype stacks up to other shows. It was a ‘Use Everything’ Mystery Box on MasterChef, with 485,000 watching as Malissa, Cath, and Rue were sent to tonight’s pressure test. Have You Been Paying Attention? continues to pull big numbers for 10, giving 526,000 a laugh to end their Monday and topping primetime entertainment.

The highest rated non-news show on SBS was Legends End: The Loch Ness Monster Story with 134,000.
