Nine won Wednesday night with a primary share of 20.6% and a network share of 28.5%. 7Two has won multi channels with a 3.9% share.

Nine’s A Current Affair (649,000) put a spotlight on Ben Roberts-Smith who has been seen publicly for the first time since his failed defamation case and interviewed the mother of missing 14-year-old Shyanne-Lee Tatnell. Then, it was a jam-packed and “exhilarating”  road-trip to Melbourne with our Travel Guides. 632,000 watched as our team of intrepid explorers soon learned why Victoria’s capital city is a world-class holiday destination. From top-tier sporting scenes to “once-in-a-lifetime” dining experiences, it was a fun look into Australia’s culture hotspot.

497,000 began their evening in Summer Bay with Seven’s Home and Away. Andrew struggled to adjust to his new life while Eden sought common ground with Mercedes and John wasn’t out of the woods just yet. Then, 273,000 stayed on for Million Dollar Island where the remaining 88 players continued to compete for the million-dollar prize pot. Tensions were building as food supplies on the island began to run out, and an arena result left one camp’s loyalty divided before 269,000 viewed The Front Bar.

493,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 explore Donald Trump’s second indictment in a year and explored Western Australia’s controversial prescribed burning regime while also looking at those in remote parts of the country who are facing unique cost of living challenges. Then 557,000 viewed Utopia where Tony copped media heat for a solar scheme with poor public uptake. 418,000 then tuned in for The Weekly with Charlie Pickering.

On 10, The Project’s (214,000 6:30pm / 313,000 7pm) Sam Taunton interviewed UFC star Conor McGregor via satellite. The program also looked at the Hunter Valley community that is still reeling after the June 11 bus crash, and how authorities are facing pressure to toughen up road safety laws. MasterChef Australia followed with legendary chef Curtis Stone joining the kitchen to set a service challenge for the top 10 contestants. Based on root vegetables, the teams had to create a two-course menu: main and dessert. The winning team of Ralph, Adi, Brent, Rhiannon and Rue will now go head-to-head for an Immunity Pin in tonight’s episode. 415,000 tuned in.

The highest rating non-news show on SBS was The Mayfair Hotel Megabuilt with 74,000 tuning in to see the seven-year renovation project where a Victorian-style dormer roof extension was being constructed; however, Covid-19 forced the hotel to close for the first time in over 100 years.
