Total TV Ratings, July 23
ABC’s Grantchester topped the total TV ratings for non-news programs, bringing in a total audience of 730,000 viewers and rising 28%.
ABC also took out the #2 spot with The Split, reaching a total TV audience of 438,000 and experiencing a lift of 28%
Mystery Road on ABC had the highest lift on overnight with 45% to reach a total TV audience of 198,000.
Overnight TV Ratings, July 30
Winning the Saturday network shares was Seven with an impressive 47.5%. The network also took out the primary channel win with 32.7%, while 7mate claimed the multichannel win with a 6.9% share.
Seven has the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games to thank for its successful Saturday, as the coverage claimed the top four non-news spots. Coming third after Seven and Nine’s nightly news was the night coverage of the games, clocking 537,000 views, followed by the evening session with 453,000 views.
Some key highlights from day two include Australia claiming gold in wheelchair racing, marathon and the pool – with swimming superstar Emma McKeon equaling the record for most Commonwealth Games gold medals of all time.

Afternoon: 625,000 (393,00 metro, 232,000 regional)
Evening: 699,000 (453,000 metro, 246,000 regional)
Night: 805,000 (537,000 metro, 268,000 regional)
Late Night: 601,000 (417,000 metro, 184,000 regional)
Additionally, Seven’s: AFL Saturday Night Football reached an audience of 356,000 as Geelong defeated the Western Bulldogs, 14.10 (94) to 9.12 (66).
On Nine, A Current Affair brought in 383,000 people as the program looked back on 90 years of Lego. Getaway had a viewership of 259,000 as the team visited Venice and Fiji.
On ABC, British detective drama, Grantchester, brought in an audience of 359,000, making it the top entertainment program of the night, while The Split clocked 240,000 views.
A repeat of The Dog House played on 10, bringing in 178,000 views.
SBS aired an episode of The World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys, which reached an audience of 100,000.
STV
Fox League has claimed the top three spots on subscription TV. NRL Super Saturday enjoyed a viewership of 383,000, followed by the match between the Broncos and West Tigers with 294,000 views, as West Tigers dominated 32-18.
In an earlier game, the Sharks beat the Rabbitohs 21-20, reaching an audience of 274,000.
Additionally, Fox Footy’s Super Saturday clocked 163,000 views.
