Seven won Thursday night with a primary share of 20.7% and a network share of 31.6%. 7Two has won multi channels with a 4.5% share.
289,000 began their evening in Summer Bay with Seven’s Home and Away where love was in the air for Mali and Rose while Cash had a new lead and Felicity’s horrors were far from fading. Then, 386,000 watched the Swans take on the Western Bulldogs in the AFL. Sydney snatched a two-point win, finishing 11.12 (78) to 11.10 (76) before 198,000 watched the AFL Pre-Match.
Nine’s A Current Affair (625,000) spoke to the families that are still being forced to pay even though Robodebt has been deemed illegal and neighbours have spoken out following an explosion at a suburban townhouse in Brisbane’s north on Wednesday. Then, 159,000 watched Under 19s State of Origin as New South Wales retained their U-19s crown with a 32-14 win over Queensland. A trio of “Ethans” — Sanders, Strange and Ferguson — scored 28 points among them. 117,000 then stayed on to watch Day 11 of Wimbledon.
On 10, The Project (183,000 6:30pm / 259,000 7pm) welcomed the “bald and the beautiful” comedian, Maz Jobrani to the desk as well as the MasterChef semi-finalists, Brent, Declan and Rhiannon. MasterChef Australia then followed as the same trio were tasked with serving 20 diners (plus the judges), an entrée, main and dessert — almost 70 plates on their own! While Rhiannon’s dish was praised as the best entree and Brent’s main was given dish of the course, it was then left to Declan to produce a perfect dessert to stay in the competition. While his choux was given a “10/10”, his custard was undercooked and chalky, subsequently putting him in third place. Declan, an absolute fan-favourite, was eliminated from the competition; no doubt a bright future ahead of him. 449,000 tuned in.
385,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 explore who could be the next RBA governor while Sarah Ferguson interviewed Foreign Minister Penny Wong and the program also looked at the voters of Fadden who are looking for Stuart Roberts’ replacement. 318,000 then watched A Life in Ten Pictures: Robin Williams as a handful of iconic shots and private snaps revealed a new story of the iconic comedian, showcasing an extraordinary life through a unique lens.
The highest rating non-news show on SBS was Inside Sydney Airport with 99,000 tuning in to see a busy Friday where more passengers meant more problems! During the episode. there was an air ambulance emergency, security breaches, illegal drugs and a shouting passenger facing a ban from the airline she was booked to fly on.
