Nine’s Australian Open women’s final which saw, which saw Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus defeat Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan in the women’s finals, lifted 10% to reach a total TV audience of 1,135,000, while the women’s presentation increased by 9% for 952,000.

On ABC, Call The Midwife topped entertainment, rising 20% for a total audience of 604,000. Better Date Than Never had the highest lift with 49% to reach 228,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, February 4

Seven has dominated the Saturday night shares thanks to its Big Bash League coverage. The network had a primary channel share of 24.8% and a network share of 33.8%, while 7mate topped multichannels with 4.4%.

On Seven, the Big Bash League final saw the Perth Scorchers beat Brisbane Heat to claim their fifth Big Bash League title. The coverage reached 502,000, while the pre-game coverage clocked 261,000. Perth Scorchers captain Ashton Turner hit 53 (32) in the middle overs before 19-year-old Cooper Connolly cracked 25 (11) at the end to steer the team to victory.

Nine’s A Current Affair reached 440,000, as Richard Wilkins met with Rock ‘n’ roller Sting to reflect on how he made it big in the 1970s. Later in the night, the season three debut of Space Invaders reached 278,000, as the new season welcomed Angie Kent as the new co-host.

On the ABC, Call The Midwife clocked 362,000, making it the top entertainment program of the night, while a repeat of Midsomer Murders reached 275,000.

On 10, 192,000 tuned in to 10 News First, while 104,000 tuned into an episode of Jamie Oliver: Together.

The highest-rated non-news show on SBS was Portillo in the Pyrenees with 138,000.

Fox Cricket won the night, thanks to the Big Bash League final with 338,000 views. The Big Break on Fox Cricket came next, pulling in 316,000 views while the BBL Post Game coverage also reached 316,000. On Fox Sports 506, 76,000 tuned in to watch the Bathurst 12-hour.
