Nine’s MAFS saw tensions grow during Confessions Week, lifting a massive 67%. 1,891,000 watched as Jesse accused Claire of having secret phone calls with fellow groom Adam, who then refused to show Janelle his phone.

Seven’s Home and Away came in next, with 949,000 watching, up 26%.

Lifting by a 15% rise was 10’s The Dog House Australia, with 516,000 tuning in to see Scott and Adelaide adopt Goober and to see if Mary and Danielle could heal Coke’s broken heart.

Once again, Nine has won the night with a primary share of 27.7% and a network share of 35.3%. 7Two has won multichannels with a 3.4% share.

Nine’s A Current Affair saw emotions bubble over when neighbours met in person for the first time to discuss a controversial ‘glass castle’ development. 643,000 watched as the show then investigated a change in the way parking tickets are issued, which is causing frustration among drivers. Then, 849,000 tuned in to MAFS’ second dinner party of the season, where Harrison was once again the centre of a scandal, spinning lies about Dan before admitting he had gotten a woman’s phone number during a Groom’s night out in Bondi.

On Seven, 441,000 began their evening in Summer Bay with Seven’s Home and Away, before 205,000 watched Code 1: The Lismore Floods. The episode detailed the February 28, 2022, weather event that destroyed thousands of homes in Lismore, where in record-breaking flood waters, locals risked their lives to save thousands in their community.

438,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 explore the closure of maternity services forcing expectant mothers to travel further and the Reserve Bank governor Philip Lowe defended record bank profits as he flagged further rate hikes. 397,000 then tuned in for The Weekly with Charlie Pickering.

On 10, The Project (161,000 6:30pm / 223,000 7pm) welcomed actor Alyssa Sutherland to the desk while also revealing the heavy hitters who made the top 10 highest-paid entertainers list for 2022. Then, on the heartwarming The Dog House Australia, 324,000 watched as shepherd Alfie and the Holmes family met for the first time and “stage five clinger” Missy searched for her forever home.

The highest rating non-news show on SBS was My Grandpa’s War, with 76,000 tuning in to see singer Emeli Sande explore her grandparents’ remarkable war stories which spanned WWII and the fight for independence in Africa.
