• Beijing Winter Olympics ratings stay steady
• Indigenous All-Stars v Maori All-Stars match ranks well for Nine
• ABC’s Death in Paradise remains a popular hit for the channel
Total TV Ratings, February 12
ABC’s tenth series of Death in Paradise was the top entertainment and #2 overall show with a total audience of 984,000, an increase of 17% on its overnight TV ratings.
All Creatures Great and Small was the #2 entertainment show with 836,000 (up 29%).
ABC also experienced the highest lift on overnight viewers with a 151% increase on children’s show, PJ Masks: Ninja Power Up.
The Beijing Winter Olympics evening and night games came in fourth and fifth, both experiencing a 3% lift.
Overnight TV Ratings, February 12
The Beijing Winter Olympics continues to rate well for Seven, with the day eight evening session bringing a combined regional and metro viewership of 828,000.
Australian skeleton racer Jaclyn Narracott made Australian Olympic history, winning the country’s first-ever medal in a sliding sport and making Beijing our most successful Winter Games ever.
Beijing Winter Olympics Day 8:
Day: 341,000 (231,000 metro, 110,000 regional)
Afternoon: 479,000 (334,000 metro, 145,000 regional)
Evening: 828,000 (590,000 metro, 238,000 regional
Night: 631,000 (453,000 metro, 178,000 regional)
Late: 717,000 (546,000 metro, 171,000 regional)
Over on Nine, the Australian Indigenous All-Stars v Maori All-Stars game brought in 478,000 views as the Maori All-Stars defeated the Indigenous All Stars 16-10 at Sydney’s CommBank Stadium.
Getaway was channel nine’s top entertainment program with 293,000 viewers.
Bondi Rescue was 10’s #1 non-new show with 71,000. 10 also aired the A-League match between Western United and Sydney FC which clocked 65,000 views. After a rain-soaked game, the match ended in a 1-1 draw, putting Western United in the top spot.
The top entertainment show was ABC’s Death in Paradise with 536,000 viewers, followed by All Creatures Great and Small with a metro audience of 417,000.
The top non-news program on SBS was Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman, bringing in 121,000 viewers.

The Maori v Indigenous All Stars match was also aired on Fox League, which brought in 160,000 viewers, followed by the post-game with 130,000.
