The Block has topped the night in non-news, lifting 37% for a total audience of 1,429,000 watching Ankur and Sharon win the first gnome of the season.
The Masked Singer reveal was up 22%, with 913,000 watching Matt Preston unveiled as the Gnome after taking on The Monkees’ I’m A Believer. The rest of the episode was up 24% for a total audience of 818,000.
Seven’s My Kitchen Rules had 868,000 watch as Che and Dave took a huge risk presenting a chilli-themed menu. The episode was up 29%.

Nine has won the night with a 22.8% primary share and a 29.9% network share. 7mate has topped the night for multichannels with a 3.8% share.
On Nine, 691,000 watched as A Current Affair covered the announcement that John Farnham was undergoing surgery for cancer, and spoke to the grandmother who has found herself convicted after outing a predator on social media. The Block saw the teams race to make waterproof Wednesday, before 723,000 watched as Ankur and Sharon decided to finish their mailbox rather than show up for judging – thereby disqualifying them for the week. The Hundred with Andy Lee followed, rounding out the night for 390,000 viewers.
Seven’s Home and Away took 439,000 to Summer Bay to start the night. My Kitchen Rules followed, with Matt and KT plating up an indigenous-inspired menu based on Matt’s Yamaji heritage. 468,000 watched as the pair scored 66/110, managing to avoid the bottom of the leaderboard despite some bumps along the way.
The Project (235,000 6:30pm / 378,000 7pm) covered Ukraine’s national independence day – a date which also marks 6 months since Russia launched its invasion – and interviewed The Masked Singer’s Blowfly, Shannon Noll. Following on with The Masked Singer, 476,000 tuned in to the episode, with the reveal spiking to 582,000 viewers as Michelle Williams took off the Microphone mask. The Cheap Seats rounded out the night with 357,000 tuning in for a laugh.
On the ABC, 7.30 covered the announcement that there would be an inquiry into Scott Morrison’s secret ministries, and asked 458,000 viewers whether letting pharmacists take over some of the prescription work during the doctor shortage would be a good idea. 325,000 joined Rachel Griffiths as she took a trip to Lake Eyre on Great Southern Landscapes to find the place where John Olsen drew inspiration for his 1975 painting of the lake. Rounding out the night, 271,000 wantched Australia’s Favourite Tree as the show got a bit closer to crowning a winner.
The highest rated show on SBS was Great Coastal Railway Journeys, with 166,000 tuning in.
