The highest rated entertainment show of the night was The Block, as the show introduced Rachel and Ryan to 1,511,000 viewers as the contestants replacing Joel and Elle – up 38%. Nine’s tribute to Olivia Newton-John, Grease, lifted 12% for a total audience of 687,000.
On Seven, Home and Away lifted 21% to crack the million mark, bringing in an audience of 1,020,000. My Kitchen Rules then had 892,000 watch as Steven and Frena took their turn in the kitchen, up 32%.
The Masked Singer reveal was up 23%, with 857,000 watching as Pia Miranda was revealed as the voice behind Thong. The rest of the episode lifted 28% for a total audience of 799,000.
On the ABC, Great Southern Landscapes took 561,000 to the place where Arthur Streeton painted his 1896 masterpiece, The Purple Noon’s Transparent Might, up 22%.

Nine has won topped the night with a primary share of 21.8% and a network share of 30.0%. 7mate has come out on top for multichannels, with a 3.5% share.
A Current Affair dug into some of the failings of the NDIS and gave 695,000 an update on a story the show had previously covered about a charity fighting their local council. The Block saw the Blockheads take a stickybeak at other country homes, before before Ankur and Sharon won the first gnome of the season in front of 749,000 viewers. After being delayed a week due to the passing of Olivia Newton-John, The Hundred with Andy Lee made its debut to 404,000.
Seven’s Home and Away turned the drama up for 438,000. My Kitchen Rules followed, with 436,000 watching as Che and Dave took a huge risk presenting a chilli-themed menu. The risk paid off, with Manu Feildel and Matt Preston praising the pair before revealing the score of 77/110.
The Project (243,000 6:30pm/ 383,000 7pm) covered the fallout from the revelations that former Prime Minister Scott Morrison had secretly appointed himself as Minister across several portfolios, and interviewed musician Sam Teskey. Gnomes weren’t just for The Block, and Matt Preston wasn’t just contained to My Kitchen Rules last night, as The Masked Singer saw Preston unveiled as the Gnome after taking on The Monkees’ I’m A Believer. 494,000 tuned into the episode, with that number lifting to 557,000 for the reveal. The Cheap Seats rounded out the night with 386,000.
ABC’s 7.30 covered Morrison’s secret ministerial appointments and interviewed former Prime Minister John Howard for 574,000. Great Southern Landscapes took 343,000 to the spot where Clarice Beckett painted her iconic Luna Park picture 100 years ago during the last pandemic, before 305,000 got their green thumbs out for Australia’s Favourite Tree.
The highest ranked show on SBS was Great Coastal Railway Journeys, with 151,000 tuning in.
