England are into the final of UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, where they will face Germany at Wembley Stadium on Monday, August 1.
Australians can catch all the action live and exclusively on Optus Sport from 2:00am AEST.
This will be the first Women’s EURO final at Wembley, but the stadium has staged the men’s decider twice, in 1996 and 2021, along with the 1966 FIFA World Cup final and the annual FA Women’s Cup final since 2015. A record-breaking crowd is set to bear witness as 90,000 fans are expected to attend Wembley for the closing curtain.
The Germans come into the final in search of their ninth European title, having won six back-to-back prior to 2017, and eight in total.
But hosts England will be a significant hurdle for them to overcome, as the Lionesses go in search of their first major tournament title.
