The Traitors

The finale will air on Sunday at 7.30 pm on 10 and 10 Play

The Traitors has reached its finale that will see a showdown on Sunday at 7.30 pm on 10 and 10 Play.

Hosted by Australian actor Rodger Corser, the finale will see the two remaining Faithfuls, Craig and Lewis go head to head against two Traitors, Alex and Kate.

This comes after Teresa, who revealed herself as a Faithful, was sent packing and leaving everyone shocked.

The Traitors sees a group of 24 players, also known as Faithful, live together in a grand old hotel where they will need to have their wits about them as they carry out challenges in order to win silver bars, contributing to a prize pool of silver worth up to $250,000.

However, a twist is in the midst as some of the Faithful are actually Traitors, and it’s their mission to eliminate the Faithful one by one.

The Traitors will work together, conspiring and scheming behind the Faithful’s backs and each night, they will sneak away and choose a Faithful to murder out of the game.

The psychological adventure series has already been commissioned across multiple territories, including the United Kingdom and the United States, with Network 10 promising to bring a unique Australian flair to the franchise.

In September, Channel 10 provided Australians with the first look at The Traitors.

Peter Newman, CEO, of Endemol Shine Australia, said: “Australian families can expect an entertaining mix of suspicion, deception and betrayal that will have them glued to their screens from beginning to end.”

The original format was created by Dutch producer IDTV, and despite having to watch the original series with the subtitles on, executive producer, Ciaran Flannery said that the team were instantly hooked.

Flannery said: “When it came across to us via Endemol Shine, it had only really been made in the Netherlands. It was an absolutely massive success over there – the numbers that it had done were crazy. It really appealed to under 40s in particular, which is obviously of interest to us. Some of the share that that show got in its first series, it was approaching around about 50% share in under 40s.

“We were sent the entire series and we just got addicted to the show, even though it was in Dutch. It was just a really fascinating new take on competition reality.”
