Wallabies v Georgia kicks off at 2:00 am AEST, September 10 on Stan Sport and Nine

The Wallabies begin their World Cup campaign this weekend with their first match in the tournament against Georgia set to kick off at 2:00 am AEST on September 10 on Stan Sport and Channel Nine.

The Wallabies and Georgia last faced off in 2019, with the Aussies beating Georgia in Japan. 

Under coach Eddie Jones, the Wallabies side captained by Will Skelton will be out to bring glory back to the green and gold on the international stage. The Wallabies come into the Georgia match-up and the World Cup as a whole on a five-match losing streak and they have not won since Eddie Jones returned as head coach in January.

In the World Cup, they face a stiff field featuring the titans of world rugby – South Africa and New Zealand, tournament favourites and hosts France, alongside fellow threats Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales, plus Argentina and Fiji in a field of 20 countries all fighting to win the William Webb Ellis trophy.

Nine’s commentary team of rugby union stars and experts led by Michael Atkinson and Nick McArdle will include Wallabies legends Tim HoranMat RogersJustin HarrisonJames HorwillMorgan Turinui and Stephen Hoiles.
