The new season of The Voice is set to premiere 7.00pm Sunday, 8 August on Channel Seven and 7plus.
The world’s biggest singing competition will debut on its new home with a new look, new feel, and an all-star coaching panel, and world-class artists waiting to be discovered.
One of the most successful formats in the world, the 10th season of The Voice is hosted by Sonia Kruger and features surprising new elements, plus the strongest ever line-up of artists competing to be crowned the winner.
Kruger says that Seven’s version of the show has gone back to the basics of the format.
“What I like about The Voice reimagined now at Channel Seven is that they’ve gone back to that grassroots of looking for the diamond in the rough, the people you would not expect to have great singing voices,” she told Mediaweek.
“They’ve just found some absolute crackers.”

The Coaches
Taking their places on the spinning red chairs are the coaches: multiple ARIA and Grammy Award winner Keith Urban, UK hit machine Rita Ora, singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian and, making her coaching debut, singing and acting sensation Jessica Mauboy.

What’s New in 2021
Raising the stakes during the Blinds and heating up competition between the coaches is The Block. Each coach has the ultimate power to block a rival coach from getting an artist they turned a chair for. Coaches get two blocks. A block can be dealt during a performance and anonymously. Ultimately, if a coach has blocked another coach, they’re unable to pitch for that artist to be on their team.
New this season, the coaches can have an unlimited number of artists on their teams, but the more artists they turn for, the more they must lose in the following round – The Cut. After the Blind Auditions are complete, each artist must immediately face their coach to prove their star power. Each coach can only take five artists through to the Knockouts.
Also new this season is the introduction of augmented reality technology, adding a new scale and visual dimension to the design and performances across the series.
