Fourteen cast members are set to take on the rugged Alps of New Zealand’s South Island on The Summit season two.
The Summit premieres on Sunday 12 May at 7pm on Nine and 9Now.
The final trekker – or trekkers – will be crowned the winner, and take home a portion of the million-dollar prize money.
However, before that time comes, they’ll have to climb over 180 kilometres in 15 days and take on challenges that are designed to test their courage and morals and push their physical limits to breaking point.
Among the cast are ex-NRL champ Mat Rogers, actresses Olympia Valance and Simmone Jade Mackinnon and ex-Bardot singer Tiffani Wood.
Actor Jai Courtney returns to host, and speaking on the new season, he said: “Last year, we were just getting started. This year in The Summit we are going sky high. What the trekkers put themselves through, and the effect it has on them as individuals, is truly special to witness. When humans are pushed to their limits and beyond, remarkable things happen.”
This season’s trekkers include:
Ava, 29, Aerospace Engineer, WA
Charlotte, 35, Nurse, NSW
