After weeks of masked mystery, the winner of The Masked Singer will be revealed in the grand finale airing Sunday, August 28 at 7.30 pm on 10 and 10 Play on demand.
On Wednesday night, viewers and the panel of judges were left shocked when it was revealed that the celebrity behind the brand new mask introduced on the episode was American actress Tori Spelling of Beverly Hills, 90210 fame.
This leaves three mysterious masks left in the competition, Mirrorball, Snapdragon and Rooster, all of which will perform one more time before their identities are revealed and the winner is crowned on Sunday night.
Earlier this month, Mediaweek spoke to the Executive Producer of the show, Tamara Simoneau about the new panel of judges as well as the security protocols involved in keeping the identities a secret.

With three new guessers on the panel, Simoneau said they all bring different strengths to the team.
“Chrissie was a pretty easy choice because, well, she’s Chrissie Swan and we adore her. She’s the show’s number one couch fan along with her daughter. It was an easy switch for her to shake off the slippers, put on some sequins, and come join us in the studio.
“Mel B has been behind the mask twice in overseas versions of the show. So she was really, really keen to have a go on the panel and see it from the other side.
“Abbie Chatfield is just an absolute natural born TV star, and such a super sleuth. She’s such a powerhouse on socials – I think her superpower is the socials and how she works them to figure out who’s behind the masks.”
Simoneau said that when it comes to keeping the identities a secret, communicating can get interesting when there are only a handful of people who know the names of the singers.
“The secrecy around it is next level, to the point where we talk to each other in code.
“We talk about the people in masks, and if anyone goes to say a name in a wider group, there’s this look that makes you remember ‘Oh, hold on!’
“They’re synonymous with their mask now though, that’s how we know them.”
