News show The Cheap Seats has been renewed for a third season and is returning to 10 and 10 Play on Tuesday, 9 May at 8:40 pm.
Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald are returning to 10 and 10 Play for a third season covering major news stories, not-so-major news stories, stories involving cats, entertainment, sport and viral videos.
Mel Tracina, cultural correspondent and Titus O’Reily, sport expert will again be returning weekly to share their two cents on the weird and wonderful selection of stories.
A reader’s digest of world events, if it was broadcast, released, published, viewed, shared, clicked on, or simply trended for 15 seconds, then you’ll catch it on The Cheap Seats.
Last month, Network 10 gave a glimpse at what their slate looks like for the rest of the year.
Returning to 10 and 10 Play on Monday, 15 May for its 11th season is Have You Been Paying Attention? Quizmaster Tom Gleisner is back with a fresh deck of questions from the world of showbiz, televised quests for love, celebrity scandals, sporting sagas and triumphs, and the antics of politicians. Show regulars, Sam Pang and Ed Kavalee return to answer all his questions and race to take the first jab at Tom’s expense.
Also tickling viewers’ funny bones will be the revival of Thank God You’re Here, the improv show that ran from 2006 to 2007 on 10 before it was moved to Seven for its final fourth season in 2009.
Originally hosted by Shane Bourne, the new iteration will see comedian Celia Pacquloa take the helm as host of the show. Pacquola said of her new role: “I’m so excited Thank God You’re Here is coming back, and I’m thrilled to host because that means I’ll be in the best position to watch it. I can’t wait to send comedians through the big blue door and not have to go through it myself.”
The Cheap Seats returns on Tuesday, 9 May at 8:40 pm on 10 and 10 Play.
