Australia’s biggest stadium will be home to Ampol’s State of Origin Game II, live from the MCG on 26 June on Nine and 9Now at 7:00 pm AEST.
After a first-game loss in Sydney, it’s win or bust for the NSW Blues. The Mitchells: Latrell Mitchell and Mitchell Moses will step up for the team in hopes of producing a win.
If QLD’s Maroons win, they will seal a third straight series win under Billy Slater’s guidance.
Nine will also have an exclusive sit-down interview in the pre-game coverage with Latrell Mitchell, who is breaking his own media ban to give an insight into his journey back to a Sky Blue NSW jersey.
The Wide World of Sports exclusive Origin coverage will feature special guest commentary from injured Melbourne Storm and Queensland playmaker Cameron Munster.
Hosted by James Bracey, the biggest names in the game will form the commentary team for Origin II, with Origin legends Cameron Smith, Andrew Johns, Brad Fittler, Johnathan Thurston, Phil Gould, Darren Lockyer, Paul Vautin, Paul Gallen and Allana Ferguson on hand to dissect all the action.
On the sideline, Danika Mason is joined by Fittler and Lockyer, with Emma Lawrence outside the venue to report the pre-match atmosphere at the MCG.
In commentary for Origin II is Mathew Thompson, who will be joined by Andrew Johns and Cameron Smith.
ARIA Award-winning band The Temper Trap will perform at the MCG before kick-off, and basketballer Lauren Jackson will check in before the Opals’ Paris 2024 Olympics campaign begins next month.
9Now will stream the game live, with three additional second-screen streams:
• Player Cam QLD – Reece Walsh
• Player Cam NSW Latrell Mitchell
