After going down by one goal in their away game against the Samurai Blue in Japan last October, it’s a must-win for the Socceroos as they face their greatest football rivals, Japan, in their final AFC Asian Qualifiers home clash at Stadium Australia. The match will air Thursday, 24 March, live and exclusive from 7.30pm AEDT, with kick off at 8.10pm AEDT, on 10, and 10 Bold in Perth, 10 Play, and Paramount+.
It’s all or nothing for this must win grudge match as the third-placed green and gold side fight for a chance to represent Australia at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Stadium Australia is favourable for Australia, with the Socceroos having qualified for three previous FIFA World Cups at the Sydney venue. Graham Arnold‘s side needs history and a home crowd on their side, for the most important match in the campaign so far.
