The NRLW Grand Final and exciting NRL matches head up rugby league on Nine this week, LIVE and FREE on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Traditional NRL powerhouses the Broncos and Roosters will square off at Suncorp Stadium on Macca’s Friday Night Footy at 7.30pm.
The Broncos go in as underdogs at home after consecutive losses and off-field distractions, while the Roosters still have a point to prove against their critics after a mixed start to the season.
Then on Sunday, the 2022 NRLW season hits a crescendo when the women’s competition crowns a first-time premiership winner in the Grand Final.
Both the Dragons and Roosters have tasted the pain of defeat in previous NRLW Grand Finals, making them hungrier than ever for glory in the most dramatic season yet.
The Dragons, who won the minor premiership and are favourites, have attacking weapon Emma Tonegato cashing in on the spoils of a well-balanced side coached by Dragons NRL premiership winner Jamie Soward and guided on-field by veteran captain Kezie Apps.
Their challengers, the Roosters, are crowing loud after a shock win against the Broncos in their semi-final. They don’t lack star power, with Origin stars Isabelle Kelly and Jessica Sergis primed to explode. A fairytale victory from the last spot in the finals series could well come true for the Roosters on Sunday.
After the NRLW Grand Final, Chemist Warehouse Sunday Footy pits the razor-toothed Sharks against the winless Wests Tigers.
The Sharks have taken only four games to shown they are serious title contenders under new coach Craig Fitzgibbon, while his counterpart, Michael “Madge” Maguire, is under unrelenting pressure to get his Wests Tigers on the board after a very tough and painful opening month in the competition.
Emma Lawrence will also host NRLWRAP and discuss and dissect each round of the NRLW competition. NRLWrap is available to stream for FREE, Thursdays on 9Now and YouTube.
Sports Sunday at 10.00am AEST, LIVE on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Sunday NRL Footy Show will air from 11.00am AEST on Channel 9 wit host Danika Mason, Andrew Johns, Brad Fittler and Billy Slater.
