Josh “Pezza” Perry and Nat Thaipun are set to battle it out to see who will take home the MasterChef 2024 title.
The MasterChef Grand Final premieres on Tuesday, 16 July at 7:30 pm on 10 and 10 Play.
The top two will go head-to-head over two rounds and in the final challenge of the season, Michelin star trailblazer, Clare Smyth will set a major four-hour pressure test.
Smyth has worked with Gordon Ramsay for over a decade and even catered a royal wedding.
She was chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to cater their post-royal wedding reception at Frogmore House in May 2018. She worked under Ramsay for 13 years and was Chef Patron of his namesake restaurant.
Only one home cook will emerge triumphant, being named the winner of MasterChef Australia, taking home $250,000 and a residency at Crown Melbourne’s ALUMNI restaurant.
In May, MasterChef Australia and Crown Resorts launched the pop-up restaurant to promote the new season, and sees a rotating cast of MasterChef alumni serve dishes.
The restaurant is a collaboration between media agency Initiative, integrated creative agency Mediabrands Content Studio, Paramount Brand Studio, and Endemol Shine Australia.
The start of grand finale week saw all 22 contestants back in the MasterChef kitchen as the tables were turned with the top three challenging MasterChef judges Andy, Poh and Jean-Christophe with a mystery box.
Pezza, Nat and Sav then competed against Andy, Poh and Jean-Christophe in a Masterchef classic: the team relay.
Monday saw the semi-final, which saw Pezza, Nat and Sav prepare a three-course menu to impress the judges, guest chef Curtis Stone and 60 diners.
Unfortunately, it was the end of Sav Perera’s time on the show, with her being eliminated in the episode.
MasterChef Australia is produced by Endemol Shine Australia (a Banijay company). The format was created by Franc Roddam and represented internationally by Banijay Rights.
