The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have kicked off, broadcast live and free exclusively on Seven and 7plus until August 8.
The Australian team have made a phenomenal start to the Commonwealth Games, winning a total of 32 medals by the end of day two, putting Australia at the top of the medal tally.
Upcoming swimming heats will be in prime time from 7.30pm – 9.30pm AEST for the first six nights (July 30-August 3), with finals to be held between 4am and 7am each morning.

Day 4 recap:
Kyle Chalmers, Emma McKeon, Kaylee McKeown and Matt Levy all grabbed gold, as well as the 4x200m men’s relay team, while Cody Simpson booked his spot in the final of the 100m butterfly.
Day 3 recap:
Emma McKeon made history in the pool with a record-breaking 11th Commonwealth Games gold medal in the women’s 50m freestyle final. It was a clean sweep for Australia, with Meg Harris (24.32) taking home silver and Shayna Jack (24.36) finishing third.
Madi Wilson, Kiah Melverton, Mollie O’Callaghan and Ariarne Titmus won gold in the 4x200m freestyle final, while Kaylee McKeown took gold in a thrilling women’s 100m backstroke final.
Day 2 recap:
It was a good day for Australia in the pool, with three golds, two silvers and six bronze medals, including the women’s and men’s 4x100m freestyle relays, with Katja Dedekind breaking the women’s 50m freestyle S13 class world record for her gold.
But all eyes were on Emma McKeon, who equalled Australia’s top Commonwealth Games athletes after securing her 10th gold medal.
Bronze medalist winners for day two include Bradley Woodward, Elijah Winnington, Jacob Templeton, Brianna Throssell, Chelsea Hodges and Kirralee Hayes.
Day 1 recap:
Elijah Winnington claimed gold in the men’s 400m freestyle, while Sam Short and Mack Horton also picked up silver and bronze in the event.
Ariarne Titmus won gold in the 200m freestyle final, touching the wall just 0.12 seconds ahead of fast-finishing 18-year-old Mollie O’Callaghan, who made a late surge to finish second.
Cody Simpson, Kyle Chalmers and Matt Temple missed out on the 50m butterfly final, but Chalmers returned to help his team, made up of William Yang, Mollie O’Callaghan and Emma McKeon, win gold in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay.
Olympic champion Zac Stubblety-Cook claimed victory in the 200m breaststroke final, while Tim Hodge won gold in the men’s 100m backstroke S9.
