Season five premiered a month ago with episodes released weekly since then. The latest episode saw June and Serena form an unlikely duo as they found a way to survive together. Across the board, The Handmaid’s Tale clocked third in New Zealand with 19.38 points above average, and third in Australia’s overall TV shows.
Stranger Things continues to hang around near the top, placing second in Australia’s digital originals with 24.24 points and first in New Zealand with 22.62 points. Despite the season four finale of the sci-fi series airing almost four months ago, the series has maintained momentum ever since, consistently placing at the top of the charts.
Coming third in the Australian digital originals was Disney+ digital original, Andor. The series is part of the Star Wars franchise and is a prequel to the Star Wars spin-off film Rogue One (2016). The series follows thief-turned-Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the five years leading up to the events of the film. In Australia, the show had a difference of 24.01 and 19.59 points in New Zealand.
Over on Australia’s overall TV shows, Game of Thrones topped the chart, coming in 35.44 times more in demand than its competitors. House Of The Dragon followed closely behind with 33.65 points above average as the finale aired on October 23.
New Zealand’s overall shows saw House Of The Dragon take out the top spot with 32.09 points above the average followed by The Walking Dead with 25.14 points. Game of Thrones clocked third with 24.94 points, while Stranger Things came in at fourth with 22.62
In its ninth week on screens, Disney + original, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, has maintained its spot near the top in Australia’s digital originals. Based on the Marvel Comics, the series follows Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), a lawyer specialising in cases involving superhumans, who also becomes the green superhero, She-Hulk. The series came in 22.07 points above average in Australia and 16.64 points in New Zealand.
