The Triple J Hottest 100 will hit the airwaves on the weekend, to kick off the festivities Triple J is giving fans a sneak peek of this year’s results.
This year at least two Hottest 100 records are set to be broken. The list will see 57 songs from Australian Artists this year and 23 acts making their debut.
F-bombs will be dropped 131 times across the countdown, which is up nearly 30% from last year’s countdown.
Six songs in the countdown were also uploaded to Triple J Unearthed this year. Meanwhile, five artists will join the coveted 15-Songs-Or-Over Club across all Hottest 100 annual countdowns.
For more, the Triple J Hottest 100 Countdown will start from 12pm AEDT this Saturday, 28 January.
But for those who want to start early, Triple J will play the Hottest 200-101 tracks from 10am local time on on Friday, 27 January.
Then on Sunday, 29 January, the count down for the Hottest 100 of 2002 will play over again on Double J, with the bangers (and occasional clangers) listeners voted for 20 years ago.
