Technology guru Trevor Long (pictured R) is putting his long-running podcast Your Tech Life into hibernation.
The busy journalist said that after eight years, 378 episodes, more than 13 days of content to listen to, “This is it, it’s time for a change.
“I’ve got news, but it can’t be summed up in a short snappy text – tune in, give me 23 minutes of your life and I’ll explain all.”
In his final Your Tech Life podcast he explained that with all his other content – including work as the Today show tech reporter through to his daily TalkingLifestyle tech radio program – he was duplicating content that soaked up time. Because of his schedule, he revealed “it had become harder to do”.
Long will also continue to co-host the long-running Two Blokes Talking Tech podcast with Stephen Fenech (pictured L) and to publish the popular EFTM tech and lifestyle website.
But perhaps the biggest news from Long yesterday was that he and his EFTM team would soon launch an EFTM podcast. “It will not be a tech podcast, but lifestyle and cars.”
Long also recommended that the new podcast not be played while kids are in the car. “It will be a little blue,” he admitted.
Long signed off from the final Your Tech Life podcast playing, perhaps for the last time, the Robertson Brothers’ Trevor Long tech song.
