Melbourne independent creative agency Town Square has welcomed Greg Beer from Uncommon Creative Studio as head of art, which is a newly created role to reflect the company’s new and organic business growth.
Beer has been with Uncommon Creative Studio in London for the past four years and has worked across brands including WWF, Habito, The Guardian, Formula E and B&Q.
Beer has spent more than 15 years in the UK, and prior to his role at Uncommon Creative Studio he was employed a number of the city’s most prestigious advertising and design agencies, including Wieden + Kennedy, Mother, TBWA, Fallon and VCCP. During his career, he has worked with popular global brands, among them British Airways, ITV, Nike, Adidas, Nissan, Orange Mobile, Stella Artois, Dulux, BBC and Samsung.
In his new role at Town Square, Beer will lead art direction and design alongside executive creative director Brendan Day.
Day said: “Greg has an exceptional pedigree at some of the best agencies in the world, most recently at Uncommon where he helped grow it from 30 people to a major creative powerhouse. We are pumped to have him onboard.”
Beer said: “It’s great to be back home after more than 15 years in London. I look forward to working alongside Brendan, the wider team and Town’s Square’s clients to further propel the agency, as well as experiencing all the outstanding cultural opportunities Melbourne has to offer.”
Earlier this month, Town Square was appointed by Hilton for its luxury Hilton Salwa Beach Resort and Villas in Qatar.
Opened in 2021 and set on Qatar’s southwest coastline, approximately 80 kilometres from the capital Doha, Hilton Salwa Beach Resort and Villas features 3.5 kilometres of pristine private beachfront, hotel rooms, suites and private beachfront villas, a luxury spa, marina, conference and events centre, sports excellence centre, one of the Middle East’s largest water and adventure parks, as well as a range of restaurants.
