Carsales has announced a new B2B and Trade Content Editor, Tim Robson.
Robson is set to lead Business Insights B2B strategy, and focus on strengthening engagement with key stakeholders, including dealers and OEMs.
With over 20 years of experience in publication across a number of respected automotive titles, Robson has held senior positions at Wheels, Top Gear Australia and the industry outlet, GoAuto.
Most recently, he served as the PR and communications manager at MG Motor Australia and New Zealand.
Carsales’ director of content and editor-in-chief Mike Sinclair said: “We’re very excited to welcome Tim to the carsales team. Content is a key channel via which we engage our business partners, whether they be dealers, brands or other adjacencies.
“Tim’s valuable experience across print and digital publishing aligns perfectly with our desire to change the game in this space. And his insight into the world of automotive OE will also lend weight and authority to his new role,” he said.
Robson is excited by the opportunities his new role will bring, in a career that parallels the rise of digital media and content.
“The insights and resources that carsales has available for new car buyers, sellers and its industry partners are truly staggering. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in. The refinement of carsales’ B2B voice, upholding the standard of key stakeholder support and building both existing and new dealer and OEM relationships will be key to the success of my role,” he said.
Residing in Wollongong, New South Wales, with his wife and family, Robson will take advantage of carsales’ innovative new hybrid working model, which gives most employees the opportunity to be home, hybrid or office-based. The company aims to provide comfort and accessibility to all employees.
“The culture at carsales supports people who get in and have a dip, and that’s absolutely my intention.”
