The Voice Generations, a global-first special event premieres on Channel Seven and 7plus Monday, 31 January 2022.
Multiple ARIA and Grammy Award winner Keith Urban, UK hit machine Rita Ora, mega-selling singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian, and singing and acting sensation Jessica Mauboy are back in the spinning chairs, with Sonia Kruger back as host.
In a twist on the world’s biggest singing competition, The Voice Generations sees the nation’s greatest voices from each generation come together to perform in The Voice arena.
For one week only, over three nights, Australia’s most talented families, friends, neighbours and even students and teachers team up to vie for Voice glory in this special edition of the series.

The series begins with the Blind Auditions. Each Generations act takes to the stage hoping to turn the superstar Coaches’ big red chairs. The stakes have never been higher with each Coach only having two coveted spots on their team.
Next, it’s on to the Battles, where the successful eight chair-turning acts will sing head-to-head for a spot in the first ever The Voice Generations Grand Finale.
The four Grand Finalists will take to the stage to perform one last time for their shot at the title of the world’s first The Voice Generations Champion.
At the end of 2020, it was announced that The Voice was jumping networks from Channel Nine to Channel Seven.
Helped by a massive run in from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, The Voice was a major success – in its first season at its new home, the show averaged over 1 million viewers per episode. The final episode had 1.292m people watching, while the winner announcement had 1.383m tuning in.
