Network 10’s new whodunnit show The Traitors will premiere on Channel 10 and 10 Play on Sunday, October 16 at 7:30 pm.
The Traitors sees a group of 24 players, also known as Faithful, live together in a grand old hotel where they will need to have their wits about them as they carry out challenges in order to win silver bars, contributing to a prize pool of silver worth up to $250,000.
However, a twist is in the midst as some of the Faithful are actually Traitors, and it’s their mission to eliminate the Faithful one by one. The Traitors will work together, conspiring and scheming behind the Faithful’s backs and each night, they will sneak away and choose a Faithful to murder out of the game.
Australian actor Rodger Corser will host the show and states the show has all the intrigue and glamour of your favourite whodunnit.
“I can’t wait to see how our eclectic bunch of contestants compete with each other while navigating trust, betrayal and murder. I’m especially looking forward to watching our players pick each other off, one by one in the ultimate game of deception… and just like them, you’ll be dying to see how it ends”.
A psychological adventure series, The Traitors has already been commissioned across multiple territories, including the United Kingdom and the United States, with Network 10 promising to bring a unique Australian flair to the franchise.
In September, Channel 10 provided Australians with the first look at The Traitors. Following this excitement, Peter Newman, CEO, of Endemol Shine Australia, said: “Australian families can expect an entertaining mix of suspicion, deception and betrayal that will have them glued to their screens from beginning to end.”
