Nova 919 announced that Jodie Oddy will officially join the station, with The Jodie Oddy Show set to kickstart Nova’s weekends, every Saturday at 7am from 7 August.
An Adelaide radio favourite and one of the most enduring and successful female media personalities in SA, Jodie joins Nova with over 13 years breakfast radio experience and is excited to be getting back into the studio.
Jodie said: “This is the perfect opportunity to work on a brilliant station, I can’t wait to get started and can’t thank Nova enough. The entire team have been so welcoming, kind and oblivious to my obvious shortcomings. I’m very excited to be working on the same station as the amazing Ben and Liam. They’re super talented, driven and quite unhinged which I love.
“I’ve had six months to sleep in, hug my kids hard, rediscover my love of journalism with 10 News First and work on a number of other projects but I feel like the timing is right to get stuck back in. I’ve had so many friends of the old show still continue to reach out so cannot wait to re-connect with them along with hopefully some new friends too.”
The Jodie Oddy Show will keep listeners up to date with what’s happening all over Adelaide. Jodie will be joined by a familiar voice to Nova with Ben & Liam’s “Sport Guy” (and 10 News First’s) Max Burford keeping Adelaide covered with the latest in sport updates, while 10’s Tiff Warne will also join as news journalist.
Nova 919 head of programming Ben Latimer said: “It’s a great coup to have Jodie back on radio and working with us on Nova. She’s an exceptional broadcaster and Adelaide radio hasn’t really been the same without her. Saturday mornings on Nova is an opportunity to build something fresh and fun around Jodie. Expect live and local content, delivered by one of Adelaide’s most-loved personalities – there will be nothing like it on Adelaide FM radio.”
The Jodie Oddy Show starts Saturday 7th of August from 7am-9am on Nova 919 and can be streamed live around the country by downloading the Nova Player.
