The Great Australian Bake Off premieres Tuesday at 8.30pm on June 13 on Foxtel and On Demand.
Stepping into the shed for the first time as judges are culinary chef Rachel Khoo and king of the pastry world Darren Purchese, alongside new hosts, comedians Natalie Tran and Cal Wilson.
The new batch of judges and hosts take over from Matt Moran, Maggie Beer, Mel Buttle and Claire Hooper.
Together Khoo and Purchese welcome twelve home baking enthusiasts who they will mentor through a series of challenges that will test the baker’s skills and creativity.
Khoo and Purchese will task the bakers each episode with three themed baking challenges – Signature, Technical, and Showstopper covering everything from desserts, cakes, biscuits, breads, and pastries in a bid to discover and unearth Australia’s best amateur baker.
After ten weeks and thirty challenges, one baker will rise and ultimately be crowned The Great Australian Bake Off winner.
Rachel Khoo said: “I have absolutely loved being on The Great Australian Bake Off. A total dream job! It has been such a joy to see and taste the bakers’ creations and also to be part of such a fun new line up with Darren, Natalie and Cal.”
When the new judges were announced in August last year, Wendy Moore, Foxtel’s general manager of LifeStyle, said: “The Great Australian Bake Off is one the most beautiful shows on TV and is truly loved by our audience.
“We are so excited to welcome into the family Rachel and Darren, who are such passionate and respected bakers. They are the perfect people to continue this loved show into the future alongside our fabulous new hosts, Natalie and Cal who are ready and waiting to test every bake too!”
