On Friday morning on Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox breakfast show, Fifi, Fev & Nick, the trio announced they are taking the show to Melbourne’s own Ramsay Street on Thursday, July 28 from 6am.
In the lead up to the final Neighbours episode, Fifi, Fev & Nick will take their ‘Brekky in the Burbs’ broadcast to the iconic cul de sac, and they are inviting Melbourne to join them.
Fifi Box (who played Brooke Butler) and Brendan Fevola will return to the street they once appeared on back in 2016 and 2017 and, will be joined by some of the show’s most loved and memorable cast members, including Stefan Dennis, Rebekah Elmaloglou and many more to be confirmed.
101.9 The Fox’s Brekky in the Burbs is a staple to the Fifi, Fev & Nick breakfast show, where they hit the road and visit various suburbs across Melbourne. Inviting anyone and everyone to attend, the team put on an epic breakfast and broadcast live for locals.
Mediaweek spoke to Fifi Box about the initiative back in May, when Brekky in the Burbs was initially expanded out from being a four-show run into a permanent show staple.
“We did North, South, East, and West,” said Box. “It’s interesting because we all come from those areas. I’m an Eastern suburbs girl, I grew up out in Wonga Park, Croydon, and Ringwood. Nick (Cody) is from the West, he grew up in Hoppers Crossing and Werribee. Fev (Brendan Fevola) is from down the south, he grew up in Narre Warren. So that was really us going back to the areas that we know.
“What we didn’t anticipate was everybody wanting us to go to their suburbs. We’re getting requests, we’ve got a long list and I think we’ll probably start taking votes. Where do you want us? Because we’re obviously going to continue this!”
