The debut of season three of Network Ten’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last night from 7pm saw 10 celebrities drop life’s luxuries and sky dive and zipline their way into the jungle.
Two of the celebrities were revealed in News Corp and Fairfax Media Sunday newspapers, with the rest of the cast confirmed during the program.
Divided into two groups of five, the celebrities had their last taste of indulgence with cocktails and canapés before being catapulted into the African jungle.
While five celebrities jumped out of a plane from a height of more than 3,000 metres, the remaining five faced a zipline of epic proportions before meeting their fellow campmates.
Once all 10 contestants were together in camp on the first episode, Chris and Julia revealed they were to face one more hurdle in order to make their way to camp: a trial titled “In At The Deep End”.
Split into their arrival teams, Natalie and Ash had to find four keys among an array of African critters in order to free their padlocked teammates from a tank that was filling with water as well as crocs, catfish, frogs and snakes. Lisa Currie had a close encounter with a snake.
