Nine Radio’s 2GB has risen to #1 and recorded an 11.6% share. The station retains the crown despite a drop of 0.2 percentage points since the last survey.
In Breakfast, Ben Fordham is number one overall. He recorded a share of 14.4%, rising 0.5 points since the last survey.
In his first survey in Mornings, Mark Levy managed to retain the #1 spot following the exit of former host Ray Hadley, a 13.5% share.
National content manager, Nine Radio, Greg Byrnes, said: “In Sydney, for 2GB to be number one after major line up changes is also remarkable.
“These are stunning results and lay the foundations for another dominant year for our live and local content. We’ve had big audience gains right across the network, particularly in 25-54s.”

The Kyle & Jackie O Show has maintained its position as the #1 FM breakfast program in Sydney for the 49th consecutive survey. The show only recording a narrow drop of 0.1%.
In a coup for the Australian Radio Network, the broadcaster holds both top spots in the FM breakfast market, with Jonesy & Amanda ranking as the #2 FM breakfast show, despite the duo recording a 1.3% drop from the last survey.
The Australian Radio Network’s chief content officer, Duncan Campbell, said that “in Sydney, Kyle & Jackie O’s dominance is undeniable, they remain Australia’s #1 radio show, holding the #1FM breakfast spot for an incredible 49 consecutive surveys.
“Their unmatched popularity and fiercely loyal audience continue to set the benchmark. Jonesy & Amanda also maintain their strong position at #2FM breakfast, an incredible achievement against the backdrop of a station rebrand.”

Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie placed third among FM breakfast shows in Sydney, recording an 8.7% share.
The station enjoyed its biggest success in the Drive time slot, with Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel claiming the #1 spot with a share of 11.4%.
Group programming director for the Nova Network, Brendan Taylor, said: “What a way to start the year for both our network and for all of our stations, building on the strong results we achieved last year. It really is testament to how brilliantly we work together as a team.”

Despite significant changes to their Breakfast line-up, Triple M’s Beau & Woodsy have managed to increase their cume, pulling in 31,000 new listeners.
Southern Cross Austereo’s chief content officer, Dave Cameron, said the network was pleased with the results: “Triple M Sydney, through significant changes at breakfast time, has increased its audience by a remarkable 119,000 new listeners coming in to trial the station led by Beau Ryan and Aaron Woods at breakfast. 2Day FM has also had the second-highest commercial audience increase after Triple M, with 104,000 new listeners tuning in.”
