ARN’s KIIS FM have swapped their #1 FM crown for #1 overall crown, taking the top spot with a 10+ share of 11.9% – the station’s best result in over seven years. In the breakfast spot, Kyle and Jackie O have also come out on top overall with a share of 15.9% – their highest ever share.
Overall station cume sees KIIS as the only player over 1.3m while breakfast is now recording a cume of 842,000 – with second place being Nova breakfast on 550,000. Will and Woody remain leaders in drive, jumping 3 points for a 13.7% share.

For the first time in 18 years, 2GB has slipped to the second spot overall in Sydney. Dropping 1.5 points, the station has come in with a total 10+ share of 11.0%.
In breakfast, Ben Fordham sits comfortably as #1 AM show, and second overall with a 14.0% share after dipping 1.7%. Drive with Chris O’Keefe has stayed steady on 5.7%, with the only daypart lifting being Afternoons with Deborah Knight – up 0.5 to 7.6%.

smoothfm has recorded its biggest survey one result in over seven years, starting the year with a 10.3% share. Despite a drop of 108,000, the station still remains second overall in cume with 1,217,000, trailing only KIIS FM.
In breakfast, Bogart Torelli and Ron Wilson dropped 1.9 points for a share of 6.5%, while Drive maintains the second highest share in the timeslot, with 10.4% (trailing only KIIS FM’s Will and Woody).

Lifting 0.2 points, ARN’s WSFM has come in with a 10+ share of 8.9%. Jonesy and Amanda have lifted 0.7 points to start the year, coming in with a 9.5% share, making them third overall in the breakfast slot.

The station’s biggest demographic jump was 18-24, gaining 5.1 points for a 9.4% share. WSFM has also taken #1 in 55-64.

Any impacts we see from the recently announced on-air shake-up at Nova will have to wait for survey two – this survey period saw Fitzy and Wippa manning the breakfast show, while Ricki-Lee was filling in for Kate Ritchie on the national drive show alongside Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey.
The station share only dropped 0.1%, with the station recording a 7.0% share overall. Fitzy and Wippa rose 0.9 points in breakfast, coming in at 6.9%, while Drive dropped 1.2 points for an 8.6% share. In the evening, Smallzy was up 1.1 points, finishing at 8.1%. Nova’s biggest lift in demographics was 3.1 points in 40-54, for a 10.2% share.

Triple M has recorded the biggest rise in commercial station share to start the year, up 0.6 points to bring them to a 5.0% share – overtaking fellow SCA station 2Day FM. The station cume has climbed 40,000, the biggest gain of the commercial stations.
This is the first survey since Mick Molloy jumped in the breakfast seas alongside Mark ‘MG’ Geyer. It’s positive signs so far for the pair, with the show lifting 0.8 points for a total share of 5.2%. The station’s strongest demo continues to be 55-64, with a 7.0% share.

Dropping 0.6 points, 2Day FM has recorded a total 10+ share of 4.7%. The breakfast shift with Hughesy, Ed and Erin largely stayed steady, only dropping 0.1 points to bring the daypart share to 4.3%. The station’s strongest demo is 10-17, with an 8.9% share.

2UE stayed steady to start the year, recording another 4.5% share. The numbers backed off a little, with falls of 0.2 in breakfast and 1.1 drive. The station is strongest the 65+ demo, with a 12.9% share.
