Although it was a survey where all commercial FM stations boomed, 2GB also rode the radio wave with share and cume audience lifting. The station has strength right across the day and dominates completely in breakfast on 18.9% with Ben Fordham, morning on 15.8% with Ray Hadley, evening on 18.1% with Brooke Corte and John Stanley plus on weekends too with 15.1%. All key dayparts lifted and the station is now a consideration for advertisers chasing 25-39 with 2GB climbing from 3.6% to 7.6%.

This is the 26th consecutive winning survey for Kyle and Jackie O as Sydney FM leaders. Overall station cume sees it the only player over 1.1m while breakfast now is the only station over 600,000. Will and Woody remain leaders in drive and now boast a share oh-so-close to 10%.

Jonesy and Amanda managed to push even higher after Survey 1, lifting 0.1 to 9.2% meaning this is their best result since mid-2018. Morning and afternoon dipped a little, but drive was up 1.1 to 9.2%, giving ARN late afternoon domination with Sydney’s two most listened-to drive shows. WSFM remains #1 40-54.

After the smallest station share in over five years, the numbers turned around this survey. Although share was a little off recently, there wasn’t much wrong with station cume. It lifted this survey as smooth becomes only the third station (along with KIIS and Nova) to have a cume audience over 1m. smooth breakfast was steady on 5.9%.

Although station share was up, breakfast dipped 0.4 to 6.6%. The growth at Nova came from improved numbers in morning (competitive again on 7.3%), afternoon and a big jump in evening where Smallzy was key to a lift of 4.0 to 9.5%. Share was up both 25-39 and 40-54.

The station cume has climbed 120,000 in two surveys with share the second-best in 12 months. Breakfast now hosted by Mark Geyer with Jess and Pagey was up 4.7%. Listening to the station jumped 25-39 and was steady 40-54.

Cume has also lifted over 120,000 in two surveys at SCA’s other Sydney FM brand. Key to the weekday growth was morning and afternoon with both dayparts now over a 6% share. The critical breakfast shift with Hughesy, Ed and Erin was up too with 4.2%, the best in 12 months and the equal second best share in three years. That station is now #3 25-39 on 9.9% and more competitive 40-54.

The numbers backed off a little, with falls of 0.6 in breakfast and drive. The station is strongest in afternoon on 4.0% and evening on 3.6%.

This is the station’s highest share in over six years. Breakfast is also performing well with a share of 1.6% up on the previous two surveys, but still short of 2021’s best which was over 2% twice. Solid cume growth with a lift of close to 30%.

Breakfast for the new Vossy and Brandy partnership was steady on 0.6%. Daytime leaders remain the afternoon and drive programs on 0.8%, but evening outrates them all with 1.3%.
