Seven’s Home and Away has topped non-news, lifting 31% to bring in 961,000 viewers.
On Nine, Aussie Alex De Minaur took on France’s Adrian Mannarino in the Australian Open with 773,000 watching as Minaur took the win after four sets, up 8%. Then we watched on as Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis played Britain’s Andy Murray. 723,000 tuned in as Murray won the game after a gruelling five hour and 45 minute match, lifting 9%.
The Project was up 4% on 10. 335,000 7pm tuned in to see discussions about New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s resignation, as well as the public showdown between Michael Clarke and Karl Stefanovic.

Nine has won the night with a primary share of 26.4% and a network share of 36.3%. 7TWO has topped multichannels with a 3.4% share.
The semi-finals of the Australian Open kicked off on Nine, with Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina taking on Belarusian Victoria Azarenka. 526,000 watched as Rybakina came out on top, advancing to the women’s singles final. Afterwards, Poland’s Magda Linette was defeated by Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in front of 438,000 in two straight sets.
Seven’s Home and Away brought in 415,000, before 146,000 watched Australia win by eight wickets at the T20 International women’s cricket match.
ABC’s Australia Day Live, a concert for the country to celebrate the Australian spirit, featured performances by Casey Donovan, Dami Im, Christine Anu, William Barton, Isaiah Firebrace and James Morrison. The free-to-air production saw 300,000 tune in. 209,000 watched the Governor General’s Australia Day message.
The Project (136,000 6:30pm / 216,000 7pm) discussed changing the date of Australia Day with proud Biripi man and comedian Andy Saunders, while fellow funny man Luke Heggie revealed his feelings on the word “legend”. A repeat of Ambulance Australia saw a bystander call in a crash in the heart of Brisbane CBD involving a motorcyclist and taxi.194,000 tuned in to see our Aussie heroes arrive to find patient Hector facedown on the road, not moving.
The highest rating non-news show on SBS was a repeat of Royal History’s Myths and Secrets with 72,000 tuning in.
