After the launch of Rugby, Stan Sport has announced it has secured more international Test match rights for fans to enjoy, acquiring rights to the 2021 Autumn Nations Series – every match streaming live and ad-free with full match replays, mini matches, highlights and rapid recaps available on Stan Sport.
The 2021 Autumn Nations Series, consisting of twenty international matches, features the annual Spring Tours of the Wallabies, All Blacks, Springboks and Los Pumas against their European counterparts.
Following five consecutive wins, the in-form Wallabies will face northern hemisphere rivals in Scotland, England and Wales – with all matches streaming ad-free, live and on demand. The in-form All Blacks will take on Wales, Italy, Ireland and France. Meanwhile, the World Champion Springboks are up against Wales, Scotland and England.
The Autumn Nations Series also features more international rugby with all top ten nations on the World Rugby rankings taking part, including Japan, Fiji, Tonga, Uruguay and Georgia taking on the best of the northern hemisphere.
In addition to the men’s action, Stan Sport has also secured rights to the 2021 Women’s Autumn Internationals – comprised of thirteen matches involving New Zealand, England, Canada, France, USA, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Japan and South Africa.
As recently announced, Stan Sport will also be the exclusive home of Premiership Rugby, with over 130 matches of England’s domestic competition. This competition features several big-name Australians applying their trade in the UK, including London Irish players Nick Phipps, Rob Simmons, Curtis Rona and Adam Coleman. Former Queensland Reds playmaker Bryce Hegarty will also make his debut for Leicester. Fijian international and former Parramatta Eels player, Semi Radrardra, will be familiar to Australian fans when he lines up in the backline for Bristol.
Stan acting chief executive officer Martin Kugeler said: “We have had a phenomenal start for Rugby on Stan Sport in 2021, and it is great to see the growing interest for the game. The Wallabies, All Blacks and Springboks Spring Tours are a proud tradition on the rugby calendar, and we know fans will enjoy our coverage of every match against their northern hemisphere rivals. This announcement highlights our commitment to continue delivering the world’s best rugby all year round to fans in Australia.”
Wallabies captain Michael Hooper said: “This is a huge result for Australian Rugby fans, to now be able to watch the Wallabies all year round on Stan Sport. The Spring Tour matches are always special occasions, the atmosphere at the stadiums is electric, and they are always great games of footy. It’s been a great year for Rugby in Australia, and the partnership with Stan Sport has helped immensely from the community level right through to Test matches.”
