Network Ten’s hottest star Sophie Monk will be returning to TV in 2018… but this time on the Nine Network.
Monk will be the host on Nine’s upcoming Love Island Australia, which will air on 9Go! and 9Now.
In addition to the hosting role, Monk will present a travel special and appear prominently across all of Nine’s digital platforms as a 9Honey and 9Now ambassador.
Love Island will see young Aussie singles try to find love in Spain. Not only must the Love Island couples stay together, they must also survive the temptations as sexy new singles enter the island. The couples then need to convince the public that their newfound love is real. The winning couple are handed a pot of money. One person from the couple is given the chance to share the money or walk away with it all for themselves. Love Island Australia will be produced by ITV Studios Australia.
Michael Healy, Nine Director of Television, said: “Sophie is the perfect fit for Love Island Australia – she’s fun and real. What you see is what you get. It’s great to have Sophie back to her home at Nine.”
Helen McCabe, Nine Digital Content Director, said: “Sophie will take a leading role on 9Honey as a face and contributor to our women’s lifestyle network. We look forward to using her for commentary, videos, social campaigns, podcasts and whatever else we develop as we set about relaunching the site in 2018.”
