smoothfm is partnering with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for a second year for Radiothon on October 12. This is the hospital’s biggest fundraising event of the year.
For a sixth consecutive year, Radiothon will celebrate the work that happens behind the scenes at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The event allows the hospital to give back to the community with over $3.8 million donated in 2017 and a goal of over $4 million this year.
The smoothfm More Music Breakfast Show, with Bogart Torelli and Glenn Daniel, kicked off smoothfm’s on-air support of the Radiothon campaign this week. Listeners will be able to donate for 24 hours from October 11 at 6pm until October 12 at 6pm.
Georgie Page, smoothfm’s program director, said, “So many of us are touched by The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and like everyone we’re incredibly grateful for the work it does in getting families through some very tough times. It’s an organisation that our listeners rely on and are deeply passionate about, so supporting Radiothon was a natural fit for smoothfm 95.3. We’re looking forward to once again helping the hospital continue its wonderful work.”
Torelli and Daniel will join the team at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for the official Radiothon media launch on October 8. smoothfm will cross to the hospital during the Radiothon on October 12.
